Village of Vignoux-sous-les-Aix

Champaloin

This is the biggest plot and one of the most representative of the Domaine, planted at the end of the 1960s by Jean-Paul Gilbert, recently graduated in oenology. With its south-eastern exposure, the hill is planted with pinot noir (10 acres) and sauvignon (5 acres). All the vineyard soils are hoed mechanically: the soil can thus breath better, its macrobiotic life is enriched, and rain is distributed uniformly over the hill, thus limiting erosion.
